The Colby LED solar wall light works with solar energy. It therefore requires no electricity. Thanks to the separate solar panel and a 5 metre cable, you can place this wall light wherever you want, even in places with little sunlight. This outdoor light with motion detector switches on automatically when it gets dark and it detects movement.

Outdoor light with solar twilight sensor 

The Colby LED solar outdoor light with motion sensor is a functional wall light that runs on solar energy. During the day, the solar panel captures the sunlight, which is then converted into electrical energy. This energy is then stored in the rechargeable battery. Thanks to the built-in twilight sensor, the lamp switches on automatically when it gets darker in the evening and uses the electricity stored in the battery. This makes the lamp ideal for places where there is no electricity available and where there is a need for extra security around the house. In addition, the outdoor wall light has 120 LEDs that emit a total light output of 600 lumens.  

The 3.7V 1200mAh lithium battery has a Smart Battery Management System (BMS) which ensures that the energy is utilised efficiently: When the battery is empty, it shines slightly less brightly. This gives the lamp a longer burn time. The Colby solar wall light needs 8 hours of sunlight before it is fully charged. Use light mode 1, where the lamp switches off completely if no movement is detected after 30 seconds, if you want it to stay on all night if necessary. 

Flexible positioning 

You can position the Colby solar wall light wherever you want without having to worry about sunlight. This is because there is a 5 metre long cable between the lamp and the solar panel, which can be easily detached. 3 adjustable light settings 

The Colby solar wall lamp has 3 different light modes that you can easily set using a button on the back of the lamp: 

• Mode 1: The lamp switches on automatically at 100% brightness when it detects movement. If no more movement is detected, the light switches off completely after 30 seconds.
• Mode 2: At night, the light switches on automatically at 10% brightness and switches off again after 8 hours.
• Mode 3: When it gets dark, the light switches on automatically at 3 % brightness and switches to 100 % brightness when it detects movement. If no more movement is detected, it switches back to 3% brightness. 

Simple installation 

The Colby solar wall light is easy to install in two ways. You can attach the solar panel to the lamp by simply sliding it onto the lamp. Attach the mounting plate to the wall or fence and simply slide the lamp over it. Do you want to mount the solar panel somewhere other than the lamp? Then attach the mounting plate for the solar panel to the desired location and slide the solar panel over it. Once you have placed the lamp, you can tilt it so that the light shines at the angle you want.  

What is the best place for the solar lamp and solar panel? 

Place the solar panel in a location where it receives direct sunlight for at least 8 hours a day, ideally facing south. If you hang the solar panel in the shade, the battery will not be fully charged and the amount of light will be reduced. Also make sure that you do not place the solar panel near evening light sources such as street lamps or porch lights. To achieve maximum range, you should position the lamp 1.8 to 2.5 metres above the area to be illuminated. When determining the location of the lamp, bear in mind that the motion detector has a field of view of up to 120° (horizontal) with a maximum distance of 5 m at an ambient temperature of 25°C.
