LED strips Flex 120 - LED strips with 120 LEDs per meter
The Flex120 series from HOFTRONIC contains 120 LEDs per meter. These Flex120 LED strips are very suitable as indirect lighting and direct lighting. With indirect lighting, the light shines from behind an object. As a result, you do not see the light source directly. Think of lighting behind a cupboard or under a bed. With direct lighting you can see the light source. Because these LED strips contain no less than 120 LEDs per meter , you can use them very well as direct lighting. The LEDs will often flow into each other due to their large number.
The effect of 120 LEDs per meter
The Flex120 series LED strip are economical and shine a bright light. The LED chips are very close to each other, so that the strip shines an even light in the dark. With an LED strip with less than 120 LEDs per meter, you often see the light points very well. Logically, this gives a less diffuse effect. Of course, with our LED strips with 180 LEDs per meter, the chips are even less visible. These then flow into each other even more smoothly. This is not because the LED chips are closer together, but because they are stacked on the strip (2 per row). This allows the rows to shine more light.
The distance between the LED chips with a 120 LEDs per meter strip is only 8mm. On the 120 LEDs variant, the LED chips are very close to each other. Our 180 LEDs per meter LED strips have two rows of 90 chips per meter. As a result, the distance is greater than with 120 LEDs per meter. Below an overview:
- LED Strips 60 LEDs per meter : 16 mm distance between the LEDs
- LED Strips 120 LEDs per meter: 8 mm distance between the LEDs
- LED Strips 180 LEDs per meter : 11 mm distance between the LEDs (with two rows)
Technical specifications
The 120 LEDs per meter shine with a light intensity of 600 lumen per meter. They use only 8 Watts to produce this light output. This makes them a lot more economical than the neon strips. The LED strips are resistant to rain, freezing cold and heat; The LED Strip has an IP65 protection class. Very suitable for outdoor use and therefore much more stable than an IP20 LED strip. So you can safely leave these 120 LEDs per meter outside all year round.
120 LEDs per meter in different lengths
These 120 LEDs per meter strips are easy to shorten per meter. However, we also have a number of standard sizes in our range. You will find the following 120 LED meter strips in our range:

120 LEDs per meter for the bathroom
These Flex120 light hoses are also very suitable for installation in the bathroom due to their high watertightness. Due to their high protection class, they can even be placed close to the shower or above the bath. We often see that the LED strips with 120 LEDs per meter are used as indirect lighting. This includes under the edge of the bath and under the sink. We also see that these strips are often used behind a mirror.
Because the LEDs are very close to each other, you can also use the LED strip as direct lighting. Think of the border of your garden, the gutter or of course the edge of your bath or shower.
UV resistant
The Flex120 LED strips are surrounded by a flexible, very transparent and thick plastic housing. This housing is completely UV resistant. As a result, the hose does not yellow when it is exposed to the sun. The result is the same light color year after year. This jacket also ensures that the flex120 LED strip does not dry out.
Dimmable LED strip 120 LEDs per meter
This Flex120 LED strip is also dimmable, but only in light intensity (lumen). You can easily dim the LED strip by connecting the Flex60&Flex120 dimmer to it. This is available separately here.
Long lifespan
Thanks to their state-of-the-art LED chips, the Flex120 LED strips have a long lifespan of no less than 50,000 burning hours. With average use, this amounts to 20 years. Average usage is 250 days a year and 10 hours a day. However, there is a good chance that you will not have the LED strip on nearly as often.
Extendable up to 100 meters
These 120 LEDs per meter Flex120 LED strips can be extended to a length of 100 meters by means of connectors. That means that you create an LED strip with no less than 12000 LEDs and a total lumen of 60,000. With this you can easily illuminate the largest gardens and outdoor spaces.
