The Malta recessed spotlight is a swivel-mounted recessed spotlight in white coated aluminium. The LED spot is waterproof to IP44, making it suitable for both wet and dry locations. The Malta is ideal for use in bathrooms and bedrooms. The recessed spot has a dim to warm light source. This ensures that the light becomes warmer in colour as you dim the spotlight. Ideal for relaxing moments in the bath or before bed. The recessed spot has a variable recess depth of 70 or 85mm. Choose the size that suits you best.

• IP44 waterproof: The Malta has an IP44 rating. This means it can be used in both dry and damp locations. The Malta looks particularly good in bathrooms and under roofs.

• Low consumption: The Malta recessed spot has a maximum light output of 480 lumens and consumes 5 watts. It replaces a 50 watt halogen spot.
• Tilting light source: The Malta's light source can be tilted. This makes it ideal for accent lighting. For a playful effect, point the spotlight at a painting on the wall or a corner with plants.
• Low recessed depth: The LED recessed spot has a recessed depth of 70mm when the driver is disconnected from the spot. When switched on, the recessed depth is 85mm.
• 50,000 burning hours: The LED spot has an average lifetime of 50,000 hours. This equates to more than 20 years at average consumption.

Dimensions

If you are looking for a design spotlight, the Malta recessed spotlight has a sleek finish with high quality materials. This white recessed luminaire has a cut height of 60-67mm and an external diameter of 82mm. The recessed depth is only 70-85mm, allowing you to install this spotlight in very shallow recesses. When the driver is removed from the luminaire, the spot is 70mm high. If you leave it on, the spot is 85mm high. Make sure you leave enough space for ventilation.

Mounting

The Malta LED downlight is easy to install using the supplied plug & play driver. The driver is designed to be connected without the need for tools such as a screwdriver or terminal blocks. In other words, very simple! The driver is also suitable for connecting several recessed luminaires in series. This is useful if you want to loop from spot to spot and connect them directly to the mains in one go.

Choose the right dimmer

The Malta white spot is dimmable, but to dim the recessed spot you need a suitable LED dimmer. It is important to install a good LED dimmer that is compatible with the spotlight.
