Product description
Flush-mounted PIR motion sensor and twilight switch 2-in-1
This PIR motion sensor is highly suitable for indoor use due to its IP20 rating. The sensor is made of white polycarbonate, and is very easy to mount in the ceiling. You can compare it with mounting a recessed spotlight. Setting the sensor is very easy because of the 2 dials on the side with which you can set the timer and sensor to your liking.
The PIR sensor is compatible with traditional light bulbs up to a maximum of 1200W and with LED lights up to a maximum of 600W.
How does the timer work?
The sensor has a built-in timer function that you can set from 10 sec. load up to 15 min. load. This means that you can set how long the lights should be on when the sensor is activated. If you set the timer to 10 seconds, the lights will only stay on for 10 seconds after activation and the sensor will switch them off afterwards.
Setting the twilight switch
If you want to set up the twilight switch, you first have to look at the amount of light at which the sensor has to be activated. If you set the twilight switch to LUX value 3 (the minimum) and there is less light than 3 LUX, then the lights will go on when there is movement. If you have set the setting to LUX value 3 and there is more light than 3 LUX, the lighting will not switch on.
Setting the motion sensor
If you don't want to use the twilight switch but you do want to use the motion sensor, you need to turn the LUX value to the sun. This way the sensor only works as a motion sensor which has a detection distance of 8 meters.
The motion sensor is always active, which means the twilight switch only works on the motion sensor. This motion sensor can therefore not be used separately. When you set the twilight switch to a certain LUX value (total light environment), it will only switch on at this value when motion is detected. The functions cannot be switched off separately.
Mounting the sensor
The installation of this motion sensor is very easy due to the clamp springs behind the sensor. The motion sensor is suitable for installation at a variable height between 2.2 and 4 meters. With a detection distance of 8 metres under a 360° detection range, this motion detector covers the entire range around the sensor.
Installation depth: 76mm
Outside diameter: 75.6mm
Advantages
- Plug&Play installation
- 360° detection angle
- Detection distance up to 8 metres
- 2-in-1 motion sensor and twilight switch
- Twilight switch can be switched off
